Side note:
In aquarium literature and in my writing you may sometimes see the use of the word "fishes" as opposed to the normal plural form that is simply "fish". Usually the "es" ending is not a grammatical error, but instead an abbreviation. Instead of having to use multiple words, aquarists can choose to just add the "es" ending when generally refering to more than one variety, species, family, type or group etc. It means that there is significant diversity among them, that they are not all the same.
